I went to Sualkuchi , which is known as the Manchester of East and experienced the handloom weaving. From spinning the yarn , warping , drafting, denting and finally setting the warp in the fly shuttle frame loom, it was a surreal experience. Then i learned to operate the Jacquard machine to create motifs on the fabric.The best part of this learning experience is that I get to work with skilled weavers and do every single process from the start to end by yourself with their guidance.
